SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to an external unit for an inhalation component generation apparatus, an inhalation component generation apparatus, an inhalation component generation system, a method for controlling the external unit for the inhalation component generation apparatus, and a data storage. The external unit for an inhalation component generation apparatus comprises a connecting part containing two terminals configured for electrical connection with the power unit of the inhalation component generation apparatus, a sensor configured to determine, by means of said two terminals, a value attributed to the value of the electrical resistance of the resistor provided in the power unit and issue said value as an output value, and a first control part configured to change the preset control relative to the power unit connected to the connecting part based on said output value. The preset control is the control for charging the power supply provided in the power unit. A change in the preset control includes a change in the value of the current flowing to the power unit through said two terminals for charging the power supply to the value associated with said output value, or a change in the charging rate of the power supply through said two terminals to the rate associated with said output value.

EFFECT: technical results are simplification of the design of the apparatus and increase in the efficiency of use of electric power.
