FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method and device for measuring the humidity of materials and is intended for continuous measurement of the absolute humidity of bulk material transported on a conveyor belt. The method for dynamic measurement of the absolute humidity of the flow of bulk material consists in the fact that a measuring base is formed in the flow of bulk material, for this purpose, in a given volume, the initial flow of bulk material is divided into two equidirectional flows, within a given accuracy, equal to each other in overall dimensions, which are previously determined experimentally based on the condition of ensuring the best hydrodynamics of the flow of the measuring base with bulk material and ensuring its maximum sensitivity to humidity, after that, an electric potential of a given value is created at the interface of the obtained equidirectional flows, and a potential of zero value is created at their external boundaries, then the electric energy accumulated by the measuring base due to the movement of bulk material in it is measured, the absolute humidity of the initial flow of bulk material is found by the value of the measured electric energy, while the calibration dependence of electric energy on absolute humidity is used, which for this measuring base is previously obtained using one of the most accurate stationary methods for measuring absolute humidity.
EFFECT: ensuring the possibility of continuous measurement of the humidity of moving bulk material with a given accuracy.
