SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to surgery, and can be used in purulent surgery in treating patients with intramuscular phlegmons of limbs. Method comprises synchronous measurement of invasive tissue pressure in the area of three and more muscles of infected limb (P_1i, P_2i, P_3i … P_ni), as well as three and more identical muscles of a healthy limb (P_1h, P_2h, P_3h … P_nh), calculating difference of these values by formula R=(P_1h+P_2h+P_3h+…P_nh/P_1i+P_2i+P_3i…P_ni)x100 % and if R is equal to 20 % and more, an intermuscle phlegmon of an limb is diagnosed.

EFFECT: method enables diagnosing intermusical phlegmons of different localization in the upper and lower limbs, improving the results and improving the effectiveness of surgical treatment in this category of patients, reducing the number of complications.
