FIELD: veterinary medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of veterinary medicine. The proposed method for fluorescent hybridization in situ on cytological preparations of dogs and cats. Cytological material is taken from mammary tumors of dogs and cats using fine-needle aspiration biopsy. Fixation of living cells in 96% alcohol is carried out, followed by drying at room temperature for 10 minutes. Next, the FGFR1 DNA probe is applied, followed by denaturation in an automatic FISH system for 5 min at 80°C and hybridization at 37°C for 18 h for dogs and 16 h for cats. The slides are placed in a thermostat at a temperature of 25°C, where the exposure time of slides with fluorochrome for dogs is 10 minutes, for cats is 15 minutes. The number of cells with luminescence of the investigated FGFR1 gene in dogs occupies more than 10% of the total area, in them the number of fluorescent signals of the Texas Red and FITC green filters of the FGFR1 gene ranges from 2 to 5. The number of cells with luminescence of fluorescent signals of the Texas Red and FITC filters the green fluorescence of the FGFR1 gene in cats ranges from 3 to 4.

EFFECT: invention provides an increase in the accuracy of diagnosis in determining the oncological process.
