FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology, particularly to a diagnostic technique for porcine viral reproductive-respiratory syndrome. Said method is based on fluorescent in-situ hybridisation (FISH) and involves using a hybridisation DNA probe complementary to a region of the virus ORF7 gene, wherein the hybridisation probe used is a nucleotide sequence with a fluorescein-12-dUTP dye.
EFFECT: detection of genetic sequence of porcine reproductive-respiratory syndrome virus in virus-susceptible cells of organs (lung and bronchial lymph node) and wider range of methods for diagnosing PRRS.
