FIELD: testing equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of testing technology and can be used for conducting mechanical tests, in particular tests for the cyclic strength of flat samples, in order to determine the fatigue limit and durability of samples of the materials under study. The device contains a power frame, a sample fixing unit, a power exciter, a mechanical speed counter, and an electric motor. The electric motor can operate both with alternating and direct current. The power exciter includes a crank and rod mechanism and an active gripper element consisting of a sliding element made with the possibility of reciprocating motion in a guide cylinder mounted on the axis of rotation, moving in a guide cylinder freely rotating on the axis of the active gripper element fixed on the rod. The interrupting device that causes the motor of the test unit to stop operates on the principle of interrupting the electrical circuit after the destruction of the sample, which is an element of the electrical circuit, and the sample fixing unit includes plates made of damping material.
EFFECT: increasing accuracy of the experiment and the reliability of testing flat samples of materials, reducing the noise level, expanding the functionality of the device, preserving the surface of the sample at the point of contact with the movable gripper of the installation.
