FIELD: data transmission.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to data transmission in a wireless communication system. According to the proposed method for communication, an uplink grant is sent to the user equipment for transmission of the first uplink data from the user equipment at a first time value, a scheduling request indicating the presence of second uplink data to be transmitted by the user equipment whereof the transmission was not scheduled is received from the user equipment. In response to receiving the scheduling request, an uplink grant is sent, indicating a second time value whereat the user equipment is scheduled to transmit the second uplink data. Said second time value precedes the first time value.
EFFECT: eliminated delay in sending a scheduling request (SR).
