FIELD: shipbuilding.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of shipbuilding, in particular to submarines that destroy the ice cover by resonant flexural-gravity waves. A device for breaking the ice cover is proposed, which is a submarine capable of moving under the ice at a resonant speed. An easily deformable shell is installed on the upper surface of the hull of the ship in its bow under the first depression of the flexural-gravity waves excited by the ship, under which a damping fluid is located. The shell is covered with a screen capable of periodically closing and exposing it with the frequency of resonant flexural-gravitational waves for a time equal to half the period of these waves.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of destruction of ice cover.
