FIELD: shipbuilding.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to shipbuilding and concerns underwater ice breaking vessels. Device for destruction of ice cover consists of submarine vessel capable to excite resonant flexural-gravity waves at ship motion under ice at resonant speed. Upper deck of ship is made in the form of structure capable of deformation to shape, mirror image of profile of waves excited by ship of flexural-gravity waves by means of drives installed under it. Drives are actuated in accordance with readings of ultrasonic sensors. Sensors are installed on the deck to measure the vertical distance from the upper deck to the lower surface of the ice cover. Upper deck is capable to be deformed periodically with frequency equal to frequency of resonance flexural-gravitational waves, and to be in such state during time equal to half of their period.
EFFECT: technical result of invention implementation consists in improvement of efficiency of ice destruction by submarine.
