FIELD: shipbuilding.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of shipbuilding, in particular to underwater vessels that destroy the ice cover with resonant bending-gravitational waves. A device for breaking the ice cover is proposed, which is an underwater vessel capable of moving under the ice at a resonant speed. A rubber shell is installed on the upper surface of the vessel in its bow tip under the first depression of the bending-gravitational waves excited by the vessel, under which electromagnetic pressure gauges are located. The shell is covered with a screen capable of periodically closing and exposing it with the frequency of resonant bending-gravitational waves for a time equal to half the period of these waves.
EFFECT: increase in the efficiency of the destruction of the ice cover is achieved.
