FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine, anesthesiology and resuscitation, neurology, medical rehabilitation, and can be used to treat hand spasticity in patients with chronic impairment of consciousness. Complex treatment is carried out against the background of prolonged regional anesthesia of the hand with 20 ml of ropivacaine solution with a concentration of 5 mg/ml. This solution is injected into the catheter every 6 hours in combination with the immobilization of the limb with a plaster splint in the state of maximum achieved extension after physical exercises.
EFFECT: method provides an improvement in the results of treatment of hand spasticity in patients with chronic impaired consciousness.
