FIELD: measurement technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measurement technology, in particular to the determination of the cutting resistance of snow-ice formations and frozen soils with a cutting device, such as a blade, a cutter, a tooth, and can be used to determine the optimal parameters of the installation of the cutting device and the cutting technological process. The following steps are performed: measurements of the horizontal, vertical and lateral components of the cutting resistance of samples from the natural environment in accordance with the factorial study plan and using bench equipment with a cutting device and strain gauges with strain gauges that record the components of the cutting resistance of samples with a leveled surface of different densities at different cutting angles and different cutting thickness at each cutting angle, the registration and processing of the components of the cutting resistance is carried out using the software, and the optimal parameters of the cutting process are determined from the graphical dependencies built on the basis of the data obtained. Measurements are carried out in a freezer with the ability to maintain a constant temperature and provide a wide temperature range to approximate possible natural conditions. Prepared samples are kept in a freezer until measurements are taken to stabilize the sample temperature. For measurements, two stands are used, one of which, equipped with a cutting device and a strain gauge with strain gauges, is in a static position, and the second stand ensures the movement of the sample rigidly fixed on it towards the cutting device for their interaction and the cutting process.
EFFECT: invention increases the information content of the method due to a larger amount of data and determining the optimal parameters for the installation of the cutting device and the parameters of the cutting process, ensures the minimum values of the components of the cutting resistance.
