FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measuring equipment and can be used in apparatuses for measuring the parameters of a medium. The apparatus for measuring the level of a liquid medium and the temperature comprises a body, placed wherein are an electric heater, no less than two differential thermocouples, and an additional conductor. The differential thermocouple consists of two end conductors made of the same material, wherein one of the conductors is common to all thermocouples, and an intermediate conductor made of another material. The intermediate conductors and the common end conductor of the differential thermocouples form a common junction located in the bottom part of the body. The remaining junctions formed by the end and intermediate conductors of the differential thermocouples are distributed along the length of the body. The additional conductor is made of a material of the intermediate conductor, is connected with the common junction of the differential thermocouples, and forms a thermocouple with each end conductor of the differential thermocouples for measuring the temperature of the medium.
EFFECT: expanding the functional capabilities by substantially simultaneously determining the level of the liquid medium and the temperature profile of the liquid and vapour media, while increasing the reliability of operation of the apparatus and the accuracy of the obtained measurement results due to the fact that the information on the temperature in each of the two controlled levels is added to the existing information on the position of the level from the signal of the temperature difference between said levels.
