FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrical engineering, in particular to methods for manufacturing cast insulation for conductors. The method is based on casting a liquid epoxy compound into a pre-evacuated volume of the insulating gap between the current-carrying core and the conductive sheath of the current lead, followed by its curing at an elevated temperature, while first the surface of the current-carrying core is cleaned and wiped with a chromium peak, and the casting of a liquid epoxy compound between the current-carrying conductor and the conductive sheath of the current conductor is carried out in two stages - first, the surface of the current-carrying conductor is poured with a preliminary layer of the compound with a volume of 15-20% of the total insulation volume, its partial polymerization is carried out by heating for 5-6 hours at a temperature of 120-130°С, and then the compound is cast into the main volume between the preliminary layer of the compound and the conductive sheath of the conductor with further complete polymerization and curing of the entire volume of the compound for 20 hours at a temperature of 120-130°С.
EFFECT: invention provides a simplified procedure for manufacturing conductor insulation, a decrease in material consumption, as well as an increase in the electrical and mechanical strength of this insulation.
