FIELD: energy conversion.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of thermal emission conversion of thermal energy into electrical energy. The multi-element electric generating channel contains a multilayer collector package, in which the emitter assemblies are coaxially placed with the formation of interelectrode gaps relative to the multilayer collector package. The emitter assembly consists of an emitter shell with front and rear end caps, in which a fuel core with a gas outlet tube is installed. The front end cap is made with a protrusion installed in the hole of an annular electrical insulator located in the axial hole of the switching jumper, which is connected to the rear end cap of the adjacent emitter assembly and is made with peripheral holes communicating the cavities of the interelectrode gaps between each other to form a path for cesium vapor in a multi-element electric generating channel. The gas outlet tube is made with radial capillary holes and is located in the axial holes of the fuel core and end caps. The cavities of the exhaust pipes of neighboring emitter assemblies are interconnected to form a path for the removal of gaseous fission products from a multi-element electric generating channel.
EFFECT: exclusion of the release of gaseous fission products into the path for cesium vapors in a multi-element electric generating channel, which prevents the subsequent mixing of gaseous fission products with cesium vapors and the adsorption of gaseous fission products on the electrodes.
