FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mechanical engineering and can be used for mechanized and automatic wet underwater cutting of metal structures in fresh and sea water. The powder wire contains a steel shell, inside of which a powdered charge is placed, containing iron carbonate, alkali metal carbonate, complex alkali metal fluoride, alkali metal nitrate and metal powder. The mass fraction of these components was selected experimentally.
EFFECT: improving the quality of wet arc cutting of steels of increased thickness due to the introduction of additional exothermic energy while increasing the concentration of heat input.
