FIELD: metal underwater cutting.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for mechanized and automatic wet underwater cutting of metal structures directly in fresh and sea water. The flux-cored wire consists of a steel sheath and a powdered charge with the following content of its components, wt.%: iron carbonate 30–50, alkali metal carbonate 10–20, complex alkali metal fluoride 5–10, iron oxide 20–45, metal deoxidizer 7–18.
EFFECT: flux cored wire improves the efficiency and quality of underwater wet arc cutting of stainless steels by introducing additional exothermic energy while increasing the concentration of heat input.
