FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and can be used in mechanized and automatic wet underwater cutting of metal structures directly in fresh and sea water. Flux cored wire for underwater wet cutting of metal materials consists of steel shell and charge, with content of components of total weight of wire, wt.%: potassium perchlorate 7.2-9, iron carbonate 3.6-5.4, alkali metal carbonate 1.8-3.6, complex alkali metal fluoride 1.8-2.7, metal powder or mixture of metals selected from the group: iron, aluminium, magnesium, titanium, zirconium, silicon, manganese, calcium, barium and strontium 1.4-2.7, steel shell – the rest.
EFFECT: efficiency and quality of underwater cutting of steels and non-ferrous metal alloys is ensured, which is manifested in an increase in cutting speed with minimal energy consumption.
