SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment, namely to surgical cutting and suturing instruments. End effector for use with a surgical instrument comprises a drive member for receiving a drive element, a latch, a spring and a trigger mechanism. Drive element seat for receiving drive element comprises deflectable tongue for engagement of drive element when it is received into drive element seat. Latch is movably arranged relative to deflected drive tongue seat tab between locking position, in which deflectable tab is made with possibility of engagement of drive element, and an unlocking position in which the drive element seat is configured to receive the drive member. Spring is located next to the latch to deflect the latch into the locking position. Trigger mechanism is configured to move the latch relative to the deflected tab of the seat of the drive element to move the latch from the locking position to the unlocking position.

EFFECT: use of the invention provides the possibility of tissue incision and stapling.
