SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an automatic inspection machine for containers and the content of containers comprising a pharmaceutical product, a food product or other products. Claimed automatic inspection machine (1) for containers (2) and the upper surface of a shell of a lyophilized product contained therein contains sequential horizontal conveyor line of containers (2) oriented with vertical axis (2a) through at least one inspection unit (3) containing means for lighting containers (2), at least one television camera (24) for obtaining images of illuminated containers (2), wherein the above-mentioned lighting means contain first, second and at least third lighting devices (21, 22, 23). Above-mentioned third lighting device (23) has projection axis (23a) tilted from the bottom up, and it is located on the opposite side from television cameras (24) relatively to the conveyor line.

EFFECT: technical result is the creation of an automatic inspection machine that is expedient and effective in distinguishing defects in lyophilized products contained in glass containers.
