FIELD: depressant-dispersant additives determination.

SUBSTANCE: invention is intended to determine the depressant-dispersant additives in diesel fuel. The substance of the invention lies in the fact that the sample preparation of a diesel fuel (DF) sample is carried out using solid-phase extraction on concentrating cartridges "diapak-silica gel", having previously purified the sample from the components of the basic base with hexane, and by extracting the polymer additive with a mixture of n-hexane : acetone in a ratio of 50:50 by volume. The resulting solution is analyzed on a liquid chromatograph with a refractometric detector using a column filled with styrene-divine benzene gel (Phenogel) with a sorbent particle diameter of 5 mcm (300 × 7.8 mm), and an eluent – hexane : trichloromethane, taken in a volume ratio of 70:30, its speed 1 ml/min, the temperature of the column and detector thermostat is 30°C. The peak of the polymer additive is identified and its concentration is determined by the peak area using the PMAD polymer additive solution as an external standard, its molecular weight characteristics are calculated from the previously constructed analytical dependence of the logarithm of the molecular weight of the analytical narrowly dispersed polystyrene standard on the time of its retention at the peak top.

EFFECT: expanding the range of methods for determining depressant-dispersant additives in diesel fuel with an increase in selectivity, as well as expanding the range of detergent-dispersant additives to be determined in diesel fuel and establishing their molecular weight characteristics.
