FIELD: pharmaceutics.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of pharmaceutics and discloses the use of a polyafron composition for palpebral injection of an active ingredient in an eye by means of local application by distribution of the specified polyafron on the upper eyelid and/or lower eyelid of a subject, a device and a kit containing such a composition, a method for transdermal delivery of an active ingredient and a method for prolongated release of an active ingredient on the subject’s eye. The polyafron composition is characterized in that it contains hydrophilic and hydrophobic phases, a non-ion surfactant and an active ingredient, while the amount of the surfactant in the specified polyafron is from 0.005 to 5% by weight per total weight of polyafron.
EFFECT: group of inventions can be used for the treatment of eye disease, where the disease is dysfunction of meibomian glands, by palpebral application of the composition with its distribution on the upper and/or lower eyelid of the subject.
