SUBSTANCE: invention relates to transition metal compounds represented by the chemical formula 1, where M is any metal made of zirconium (Zr) and hafnium (Hf); group Q, each independently, is a C1-20-alkylamido group; X is a nitrogen atom (N); substituents R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, R6, R7, R8, R9, R10 and R11, each independently, are a hydrogen atom; substituents R12 and R13 are connected to each other with the formation of an unsubstituted C4-20-ring. The invention also relates to an olefin polymerization catalyst containing a transition metal compound represented by the chemical formula 1.
EFFECT: development of a catalyst having a higher activity and a higher copolymerization ability at a high temperature of 100°C or higher and being cost-effective.
