FIELD: biotechnology.

SUBSTANCE: invention constitutes a method for evaluating the effectiveness of selection of rabbit and mink breeds based on multilocus genotyping, consisting in selecting synthetic oligonucleotides, highly polymorphic in the spectra of amplification products, followed by electrophoretic separation of amplicons, building a binary matrix and executing mathematical processing thereof by the following formulas: polymorphic information content, the proportion of polymorphic loci, the Shannon index, the Nei genetic distance index, an effective multiplex ratio, and the marker index; based on the calculation thereof, a dendrogram is built for each primer; by comparing the indicators of the polymorphic information content, the effective multiplex ratio and the marker index, a nucleotide sequence resulting in the highest values of the presented indicators, constituting the highly informative markers for subsequent genotyping, is identified; based on the obtained dendrograms built according to the calculated indicators of genetic distances, primers according whereto the examined group of animals is isolated into a separate branch from the rest, constituting a marker identifying the required population from others, are identified.

EFFECT: claimed method provides a possibility to accelerate selection work, allowing for accurate identification of purebred livestock population in the selection.
