SUBSTANCE invention relates to communication equipment, in particular, to digital methods and apparatuses for measuring the spectrum of information acoustic signals. The group of inventions includes a method containing a transform of the original acoustic signal into a primary digital information signal xo(t), subjected to a first discrete cosine transform resulting in first spectral DCT coefficients Vpr containing interference in the form of side lobes, a mirror signal x3(t) is formed from the primary signal, subjected to a second discrete cosine transform forming second spectral DCT coefficients Vmir, also containing interference in the form of transform side lobes, but with reverse phase. The first spectral DCT coefficients are then added to the second spectral DCT coefficients, resulting in compensation of interference in the form of transform side lobes, and an apparatus for implementation thereof.
EFFECT: increase in the accuracy of the digital method for measuring the spectrum of information acoustic signals based on distortion compensation in a discrete cosine transform.
