SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to transmit audio broadcast signals in digital communication channels. Hilbert amplitude envelope extracted from the audio broadcast signal is segmented into identical segments, at each of which the peak amplitude of this envelope is determined and the normalization coefficient is found in relation to the maximum allowable amplitude of the signal in the channel. Hilbert amplitude envelope is compressed by multiplying it on each segment by the normalization factor of that segment. And on the receiving side, the Hilbert amplitude envelope of reception is expanded by dividing it on each segment by the normalization coefficient of this segment and obtaining the amplitude-reconstructed Hilbert amplitude envelope of reception, which is multiplied by the signal of the cosine of the reception phase and the reconstructed digital broadcast reception signal is obtained. Output analogue audio broadcast signal is then obtained after digital-to-analogue conversion.
EFFECT: high security of low-level signals without distortion of the shape of these signals and low digit capacity of the digital broadcast signal.
