FIELD: wastewater treatment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the treatment of industrial and domestic wastewater with a bioflocculant and can be used in sewage treatment plants of settlements, agricultural and industrial enterprises. The method consists in obtaining a bioflocculant based on extracellular polymer substances produced by cells of excess activated sludge (EAS). The method includes the sequential execution of the following operations. First, the solid phase of EAS is separated from the liquid one by any known method up to a dry matter content of 40-50 g/l, then the precipitate is resuspended with distilled water to the initial volume, the resulting suspension is treated with a 37% formamide solution, then the suspension treated with formamide is subjected to ultrasonic treatment, again centrifuged, the resulting precipitate is separated and resuspended with distilled water to the initial volume, the resulting suspension is treated with a unimolar alkali solution, then they are centrifuged until a dense sediment is obtained, the latter is separated and sent for disposal, and the solution is subjected to freeze-drying. The resulting bioflocculant powder is packaged and wrapped in sealed bags.
EFFECT: effective wastewater purification from both mineral and organic substances.
