TWO-DIMENSIONAL ARRAY OF LASER DIODES AND METHOD FOR ITS ASSEMBLY Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC H01S5/24

Abstract RU 2757055 C1

FIELD: two-dimensional array.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a two-dimensional array of laser diodes and a method for assembling it. Its use provides a technical result, namely, an increase in the radiation power density of the matrix while ensuring reliability and service life. A two-dimensional array of laser diodes contains: laser diode lines of the same size, length equal to the width of the emitting aperture, with metallization on wide sides; two dielectric substrates, transparent for the radiation of the lines, with parallel metallized stripes on one surface, with a step equal to the thickness of the lines installed between the substrates and the width equal to the gaps between the lines, the wide sides of all lines with the same type of conductivity are facing in the same direction; two metal walls, parallel to the rulers and forming gaps with a gap from the extreme rulers; metal spacers, with a length not less than the length of the bars, width a fraction of the length of the resonators, with a thickness equal to the gap, parallel to the substrates between the bars, intended for the passage of the cooling medium; metallization on the rulers and the walls are fastened with metal spacers and with metallized strips on the substrates, forming a sequential electrical circuit from all the lines, in which the walls are external terminals for connecting to a power source.

EFFECT: improvement of two-dimensional array of laser diodes and a method for assembling it.
