SUBSTANCE: method relates to medicine, namely preventive medicine and rehabilitation, and can be used for correction of functional disorders of the musculoskeletal system in the form of flat feet of the I-II degree in children aged 5 to 8. Exercise programs of varying complexity are performed to correct flat feet, consisting of two complexity levels: a preparatory mode and a corrective - direct impact mode. The preparatory exercise program includes performance of warm-up exercises of two types: general exercise and special exercise for flat feet. The corrective exercise program consists of three sub-programs: first, second and third, performed after completing the warm-up exercises of the preparatory sub-program. The method for correcting flat feet is based on specially selected kyokushin karate exercises.

EFFECT: method ensures highly effective correction of functional disorders of the musculoskeletal system in the form of flat feet using kyokushin karate in children aged 5 to 8; method ensures correction of deformities of the musculoskeletal system, correction of deformities of individual parts of the body, combined with passive correction of flat feet in children aged 5 to 8.
