SUBSTANCE: invention relates to digital processing of medical radiographic images of human limbs and is intended for determining the deviations in the contours of joints from the anatomical norm during medical examination and planning of reconstructive operations with automatic processing without additional reconfiguration in case of medium-quality images. In processing images, individual intensity values are used for double threshold filtering when selecting the edges of contours by the Canny detector in digital radiographic images obtained from different sources, the influence of the different shape of the lower part of the bone contour on the accuracy of locating the coordinates of the left and right points for constructing the articular bone line is eliminated, the coordinates of the points of interest located within the bone contours in accordance with the size of the image are calculated, an integral image is used in filtering and calculation of the standard deviation of the intensity, and the dependence of the size of the connected areas attributed to the edges of the bone on the size of the original image is eliminated.

EFFECT: invention provides a reduction in the amount of calculations, a reduction in the image processing time to 0.2 s, and an increase in the accuracy of determining the reference angles of the shoulder and knee joints.
