FIELD: veterinary.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to veterinary medicine, namely to orthopedics and traumatology, and can be used to predict the dislocation of the temporomandibular joint in dogs. Radiographic examination of the bones of the skull in the lateral projection in the position of the central occlusion is performed. On the radiograph obtained, a cephalic angle is measured, which is formed by a true horizontal line and a line drawn through the rocky part of the stony bone to the base of the occipital crest. This angle must not exceed 37°.
EFFECT: method provides a high degree of informativeness, accuracy, speed of execution of prediction of dislocation of the temporomandibular joint in dogs due to calculation of the cephalic angle.
