FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine, in particular to oncology and epigenetics. Prognosis method for disease progression in patients with gastrointestinal cancer after treatment is proposed. Peripheral blood is taken from patient, samples of suspension containing lymphocytes are obtained, cytogenetic preparations are prepared. The frequency of unstimulated lymphocytes with asynchronous replication (LAR) of AURKA and TP53 genes was studied using fluorescent in situ hybridization (FISH) method. If frequency of LAR AURKA gene in the sample exceeds 31.4% and at the same time frequency of LAR TP53 gene exceeds 23.0%, then this patient is considered to be at risk of disease progression.
EFFECT: invention provides creation of a new, easy-to-perform, sufficiently sensitive, accurate, specific and inexpensive method for predicting disease progression in patients with gastrointestinal cancer after treatment.
