FIELD: materials science and electronics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to materials science and electronics and can be used in the manufacture of contacts in electrolytic capacitors. First, a mixture of niobium pentoxide and niobium metal powder is pressed. Then high-temperature treatment is carried out in a vacuum of 10-3-10-4 Pa with intermediate grinding in three stages: Stage I - at a temperature of 1380-1420°С for 22-24 hours; Stage II - at a temperature of 1490-1510°С for 23-24 hours; Stage III - at a temperature of 1590-1610°С for 21-22 hours. After that, fragmentation is carried out in a planetary ball mill with a rotation speed of 480-520 rpm in an isopril alcohol medium with a reverse every 15 minutes for 480-500 minutes, followed by irradiation with an electron beam in the energy range 140-300 keV for 30-240 min in a transmission electron microscope.
EFFECT: resulting niobium monoxide, characterized by high metallic conductivity, improved combustion resistance and effective self-healing properties, has a stoichiometric composition of NbO1,00 and a disordered structure, contains only one phase, and also has an increased intrinsic conductivity compared to niobium monoxide with an ordered structure.
