FIELD: car industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a technology of surface processing of fluorinated rubber for attaching it to fluoropolymers; it can be used in the production of rubber technological products for the car industry. A method consists in applying a layer of chromium 5-10 nm thick to the surface of fluorinated rubber by magnetron spraying, followed by washing the surface to remove excess chromium and drying. Washing is carried out with an aqueous solution of a mixture of 3 % nitric acid and 3% hydrochloric acid for 1-2 min, then with water for 1-2 min, and drying for 5-7 min at a temperature of 60-80°C.
EFFECT: increase in the strength of the connection of rubber and fluoropolymers, including glass fiber-filled polytetrafluoroethylene (F4G25: fluoroplast-4 containing 25 wt.% of glass fiber), while reducing the time of the technological process.
