SUBSTANCE: group of inventions is intended for use on climbing walls, as well as in real conditions to protect climbers (athletes) from falling from a height. The safety device contains a drum connected to an electric motor; a climbing rope, one end attached to the drum and the second free end, when using the safety device, attached to the climber; a braking device connected to the drum through an overrunning clutch, and the braking device is made in the form of a gearbox having the property of irreversibility, connected by an input shaft to a second electric motor, both electric motors are constantly switched on, so that the first electric motor is turned on with the possibility of rotating the output shaft of the gearbox in the direction of unwinding the rope from the drum, and the second electric motor is turned on so that the drum has the possibility of rotation in the direction of winding the safety rope.

EFFECT: increase in the safety of the individual training process, as well as stabilizing the descent speed regardless of the weight of the athlete, reducing the number of necessary adjustments and settings.
