FIELD: sports.

SUBSTANCE: preventer for prevention of steeplejack fall and set of preventers. Preventer comprising coil connected to drive, rope for climbing, which is fixed to coil with one end and when device is in use, fixed to steeplejack at the section near its distal end, and control mechanism comprising facility for load perception and electronic system of control and diagnostics. Besides control mechanism is arranged with the possibility to control specified coil in the first mode in climbing method, when coil, in process of device use, provides for elimination of rope slack at its section between steeplejack and coil. Facility of load perception is arranged with the possibility to detect application of steeplejack weight to rope and to switch coil into second mode, which corresponds to fall or lowering of steeplejack. At the same time in the second mode coil is stopped, and steeplejack hovers on rope, while electronic system of control and diagnostics is arranged with the possibility to track functioning of specified coil and control mechanism, and if fault is detected, to switch coil into third mode, which corresponds to availability of fault, in which coil stops as discrepancy is detected in functioning of coil and/or control mechanism.

EFFECT: device provides for safe climbing without assistance of workmate, who takes care of safety.
