BLOOD PLASMA COLLECTION SYSTEM FOR OPTIMISING THE AMOUNT OF ANTICOAGULANT Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC A61M1/36

Abstract RU 2758544 C1

FIELD: medical equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment, namely, to blood plasma collection systems for optimising the amount of anticoagulant. The collection system comprises: a blood injection pump for providing the blood flow in the tube; an anticoagulant pump for providing the anticoagulant flow in the tube; an HCT measurement apparatus for measuring the blood HCT value; a computing apparatus for computing the ratio of mixing the anticoagulant and whole blood in accordance with the blood HCT value; and a control apparatus for calculating the ratio of the rotation speed of the anticoagulant pump and the blood injection pump in accordance with the ratio of mixing the anticoagulant and whole blood and the ratio of supply of the anticoagulant pump and the blood injection pump. The HCT measurement apparatus is therein embedded in a transparent tube connected with the blood collection apparatus and with the plasma tube, respectively, at both ends, and comprises: an optical transmitter sub-unit for transmitting an optical signal; a photosensitive receiving unit for converting the optical signal passing through a transparent blood tube into an electrical signal; a signal processing module containing an amplifier and an analogue-to-digital converter; and a microprocessor for calculating the HCT value in accordance with the electrical signal processed by the signal processing module.

EFFECT: invention ensures production of the optimal dosage of the anticoagulant by measuring the blood HCT value of each blood plasma donor; optimisation is beneficial to the health of the blood plasma donor and for improving the quality of the collected blood plasma.
