FIELD: imaging.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to image capture method and terminal device. The result is achieved by the fact that the method includes: opening the camera application by the terminal device to initiate lenses and displaying the viewfinder interface; the terminal device converts the original image captured by lenses into an RGB image and reduces brightness of the RGB image to be less than the first brightness, or increases brightness of the RGB image to be greater than the second brightness to obtain the first image; conversion of RGB images by terminal device into N frames of HDR images using HDR technology, where N frames of HDR images have different brightness and brightness of N frames of HDR images is greater than the first brightness when the brightness of the RGB image decreases to be less than the first brightness, or the brightness of N frames of HDR images is less than the second brightness when the brightness of the RGB image increases to be greater than the second brightness; and merging by the terminal device of the color information of pixels at any same location in first image and N frames of HDR images to obtain the final image.

EFFECT: increased quality of the captured image.
