DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS METHOD FOR CHRONIC CENTRAL SEROUS CHORIORETINOPATHY AND VITELLIFORM DYSTROPHY IN ADULT PATIENTS Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC A61B5/00 A61F9/00

Abstract RU 2758679 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to ophthalmology. The maximum corrected visual acuity, time when first complaints are appeared, as well as criteria of structural optical coherence tomography are determined: hyperreflectivity of choroidal vessels, presence of photoreceptors erosion and massive subretinal deposits. Then the probability (B) of the patient having central serous chorioretinopathy and vitelliform dystrophies is calculated according to the original formula. With B from 0.5 to 1.0, a conclusion is made about the probable presence of vitelliform dystrophy in patient. With B from 0.0 to 0.49 - probable presence of chronic central serous chorioretinopathy.

EFFECT: method allows optimizing the differential diagnosis of chronic central serous chorioretinopathy and vitelliform dystrophy in adult patients.
