FIELD: fiber-optic components production.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fiber-optic components and methods for their production. The claimed method for assembling optical fiber with housing parts (sealed fiber-optic connector) contains a volume closed after assembly, including mutual positioning of parts and optical fiber, heating of the housing and connecting them with a binder fastener. Moreover, first the parts (tips) fixing the optical fiber are fixed in the housing, then the fiber without the fastener is installed in them and the housing is heated to a temperature exceeding the maximum permissible operating temperature of the sealed fiber-optic connector, while the material that is cured in the range from the preheating selected to the maximum permissible operating temperature of the sealed fiber-optic connector is selected as the fastener. After curing the fastener in the seams between the housing and the tips and equalizing the pressure in the heated internal volume of the housing, a fastener is applied to the fiber inserted into the holes of the tips, which is inserted into the gap between the fiber and the tips by longitudinal movement of the excess fiber segment, and cured at a temperature no less than the maximum permissible operating temperature of the sealed fiber-optic connector, and after curing the fastener, the temperature is reduced to room temperature.
EFFECT: creation of a method for assembling an optical fiber with a stabilized position of the optical fiber and achieving permanence of the radiation power transmitted through the optical fiber under increased mechanical and climatic loads, as well as simplifying the optical fiber assembly process.
