SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measuring equipment and is intended to determine with a high degree of accuracy the level of liquid media with different refractive indices, incl. in non-stationary objects. The fiber-optic liquid level indicator includes a radiation source, a radiation receiver, optically coupled with the output poles of a directional fiber-optic Y-type splitter, the input pole of which is optically coupled with the end of the sensor's sensitive element, including the end of the fiber light guide and a tip for liquid removal, in this case, the fiber light guide is protected by a housing on which a tip mechanically coupled to the side surface and a section of the housing end perimeter is mounted, mirror asymmetric to at least one axis lying in a plane passing through the top of the housing and perpendicular to the optical axis of the light guide.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to create a reliable, fireproof and noise-immune sensor for a wide range of measured liquids.
