FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and can be used for protection of electrical circuits from ultrashort pulses. For this purpose, a microstrip line is proposed, consisting of a reference conductor in the form of a conductive layer, a dielectric substrate on the reference conductor and a signal conductor in the form of a strip on a substrate, wherein the line is characterised by the presence of two symmetrical conductors on top, connected at the ends with the reference conductor, and selection of the line parameters, ensuring decomposition of an ultrashort pulse acting between the signal and reference conductors into two pulses of equal amplitude.
EFFECT: possibility of protection from ultrashort pulses.
