SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to medical diagnostic systems, namely to imaging systems and methods of displaying a three-dimensional ultrasound image in the required viewing orientation. Method comprises obtaining, using a data converter probe, a three-dimensional ultrasound image containing an anatomical feature of the patient, determining an actual position of the anatomical feature by the ultrasound system relative to the transducer probe, wherein the ultrasonic system comprises a plurality of stored settings determining the orientation of the anatomical feature and the light model for generating illumination and shading the anatomical feature, displaying three-dimensional ultrasound image data such that an anatomical feature is located in a selected orientation, which is different from the actual orientation, and in spatial communication with the illumination model such that the illumination and shading areas are displayed on the anatomical feature, wherein the orientation and the light model correspond to the selected stored setting, wherein method includes selection by user of stored setting when displaying in real time data of three-dimensional ultrasound image, wherein each real-time visualization shows another orientation of the anatomical feature and another light model according to each of the settings stored in the ultrasound system. Method is realized by an ultrasonic system which comprises a transducer probe, a three-dimensional visualization processor and a light model, a display and an input device.
EFFECT: using the group of inventions enables to save time for clinically meaningful fetal screening for various potential abnormalities.
