SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a magnetic resonance imaging system with emergency interruption of superconductivity. The magnetic resonance imaging system contains an emergency button and a logic circuit designed so that, when a magnet is operating in a superconducting state, activating the emergency button by a user in a given first way initiates a gradual decrease in a magnetic field with the dissipation of energy accumulated in magnet windings into an external scattering device, and activating the emergency button by the user in a given second way, different from the first one, initiates the reset of the magnetic field with the interruption of superconductivity by heating at least part of magnet windings, leading to the dissipation of energy accumulated in magnet windings in the form of additional heating of the magnet.
EFFECT: providing a simple and reliable way to control the superconducting magnet of the MRI system in the case, when the magnetic field must be turned off.
