Sheet-like article (1) includes a plurality of sectional portions located in a longitudinal direction (x1 direction), wherein each sectional portion comprises a plurality of absorbent sections (4) arranged side by side in a lateral direction (direction y1). Sheet-like article (1) includes two lengthwise connected zones (41, 41), two transverse connected zones (42, 42) and intermediate transverse connected zones (43, 43). Sheet-like article (1) is connected to component element adjacent thereto in thickness direction (Z), in two lengthwise connected zones (41, 41), two transverse connected zones (42, 42) and intermediate transverse connected zones (43, 43). Each section includes a section on which neither its upper side nor its lower side defined in thickness direction (Z) are connected to said component element.
