FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: electromagnetic suspension of the vertical rotor shaft contains a power source, a shaft position sensor, a control system, a fixed ferromagnetic core with windings, a shaft on which the element creating the magnetic field is fixed. A cylindrical ferromagnetic core is fastened to the rotor, a winding is laid into core grooves around the rotor shaft, outputs of which are connected to two contact rings located on the shaft. To create a constant magnetic field crossing the conductors of the rotor winding, two U-shaped laminated ferromagnetic cores with an excitation winding are mounted on the fixed part of the suspension. The shaft is designed move in the axial direction, the lower part of the shaft rests against the axial bearing, two guide bearings are used to fix the shaft in the radial direction.
EFFECT: increase in bearing capacity of the suspension of the vertical rotor shaft, reduced mechanical losses in the device.
