FIELD: space technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to controlling the launch, mainly of small artificial satellites (AS) into near-Earth orbit using an orbital transport spacecraft (TSC) mounted on a launch vehicle (LV). ASs are placed in a variety of picosatellite orbital deployers (PSOD) on the TSC containing AS release drives (15). If it is impossible to release the TSC or in case of its breakdown after release from the LV, the TSC safety subsystem is activated to generate the activation sequence of the PSOD. The timer (7) generates a signal ST1 of the waiting time for the release of the TSC. The control and guidance unit (3) compares the signal ST1 with the reference signal STR of the longest waiting time. At ST1>STR, the unit (3) generates an activation signal SA and sends it to the control boards (8) of the PSOD, which issue a control signal SP to the drives (15) that release the specified AS to the required orbital position from the corresponding PSOD. At ST1<STR, control is carried out after a specified period of time and the operations are repeated for the following ASs.
EFFECT: possibility of placing all artificial satellites in orbit properly in an emergency situation with TSC.
