FIELD: fuels physical and chemical properties study.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the study of the physical and chemical properties of fuels of various component, hydrocarbon, fractional composition and can be used to determine the ignition delay period of liquid and gaseous fuels in relation to reciprocating internal combustion engines. The substance of the method consists in determining the ignition delay period of liquid and gaseous fuels, which is recorded at the time of the cylinder gas pressure change by less than 4% until the cylinder gas pressure changes by more than 4%, while the construction of the expanded indicator diagram is carried out with a discreteness of 40 mcs.
EFFECT: increasing the accuracy while reducing the complexity of determining the ignition delay period of the fuels.
