SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely, to ophthalmology, otorhinolaryngology and clinical pharmacology, and can be used to select a treatment plan for rhinosinusogenic complications of the orbit and eyelids in inflammatory diseases of the paranasal sinuses in children. For this purpose, the leukocyte shift index is determined. If the value of this indicator is less than 2.0, conservative methods for treatment are used; if the leukocyte shift index is from 2.0 up to and including 3.58, medication-based therapy is supplemented with catheterisation of the maxillary sinuses or endoscopic maxillary sinusotomy or ethmoidotomy, or frontal sinusotomy; if the leukocyte shift index is greater than 3.58, medication-based therapy is supplemented with polysinusotomy in combination with opening the phlegmon of the orbit and eyelids.

EFFECT: invention ensures timely prevention of purulent-septic complications of the orbit and eyelids, thereby reducing the risk of disability in this category of patients due to the optimal selection of the treatment plan.
