To do this, children aged 2 months to 16 years in the presence of eyelid edema undergo a general blood test and radiological diagnosis of the paranasal sinuses. Leukocyte shift index (LSI), allergization index (AI), viral infection marker (MVI) are calculated according to the formulas: LIL = (eosinophils + basophils + myelocytes + metamyelocytes + stab + segmented) / (monocytes + lymphocytes); IAL = (lymphocytes % + 10 x (eosinophils % + 1)) / (neutrophils % + monocytes % + basophils %); MVI = (lymphocytes %) / (monocytes %). With a combination of indicators ISL>1.5; IAL<1.23; MVI<3.82 in the presence of signs of sinusitis according to the X-ray examination, the diagnosis is reactive edema of the eyelids; with a combination of indicators ISL<1.44; IAL>2.06; MVI>4.2 and the absence of signs of sinusitis, according to the X-ray examination, allergic edema of the eyelids is diagnosed.
